India’s ETO Motors inks a deal with Telangana government for electric vehicles

In a significant initiative to combat pollution in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Garu has announced plans to incentivize auto drivers to transition from diesel vehicles to electric autos.

This move aims to enhance the city’s air quality, with a specific restriction that diesel autos will be prohibited within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits in the future.

Additionally, the chief minister revealed that the Telangana government intends to replace diesel buses operated by TGSRTC with 3,000 electric buses over the next two years.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to promote electric vehicles (EVs) and reduce emissions in urban areas, as highlighted during the Praja Palana celebrations organized by the Transport Department.

ETO Motors in partnership with MOWO Social Initiatives

ETO Motors, India's largest Electric Mobility as a Service (EMaaS) Company; MOWO Social Initiatives, a social enterprise committed to empowering women with mobility as a skill, launched India's first all-women electric 3-wheeler rally 'ETOwali', which will traverse the length of the country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

The 'ETOwali' rally will have an 8-member crew driving electric 3-wheelers (e3Ws), an electric motorcycle and an electric SUV, covering 3333 kilometres in 30 days. The rally will be flagged off from Kanyakumari and will travel through Madurai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur, and Delhi, culminating in Jammu. The 'ETOwali' rally aims to raise awareness about electric vehicles and how electric 3-wheelers are the optimal employment opportunity for women looking for a stable livelihood.
